We have now delivered 3 complete downhole electric coupler for deepwater subsea wells, where the 4th set is due for delivery June 2022. These couplers enable electric power and signal to be transmitted between the lower completion string (placed within the horizontal reservoir section) and the upper completion string.
By implementing our coupler, the client is able to go from one each P&T sensor located above the production packer, to 8 P&T sensors in total, spread out within the producing reservoir section. Just imagine the value of such great increase in data provided from within the reservoir section instead of “only” from above the packer!
